Honest Opinion - My Visit Today

I had high expectations coming here because the restaurant has a 4.9 rating, and I even saw a review from a former Japanese chef. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my standards – I can’t help but wonder if the reviews were overhyped.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place is a hidden spot and not overcrowded; I estimate it can accommodate around 25 people at most.

Prices are average, but I feel other Japanese restaurants offer better value for less. Would I return for a second visit? No, but I’m glad I tried it to see if the buzz was real.

Important Note: This is purely based on my personal taste preference. I don’t want to discourage anyone from visiting – it’s worth trying for yourself as it might be right up your alley.

Dish Ratings:

- Tonkotsu Ramen (~300 PHP): 5/10 – The broth didn’t taste like typical tonkotsu. I’m not sure if the aftertaste came from the torched meat, but it wasn’t what I expected from ramen. I'm not saying I'm expert in tasting ramens before, but we do frequently visited Japanese restaurants and this is our go to order.

- Tonkatsu: 6/10

- Salmon Sushi Roll: 7/10

- Yakitori: 7/10

Just ordered online from this store. Not my first time ordering ramen from this shop, and I've been pretty happy with their service before. 😊 Used to dine in and order online, too. For online orders, they used to pack the soup separately in a plastic bag and use paper take-out bowls, but this time they switched to plastic and the soup wasn't secured - it spilled and got messy when we opened it - not the rider's fault. The flavor was a bit off too - usually their flavors are spot on, but this one was kinda salty, had to add more hot water. And where's the bokchoy? They usually throw in a leaf or two 🥬. Given the price isn't exactly cheap, I expected a bit more attention to detail. Used to be ₱200+, now it's pricier and the service feels downgraded. Just my experience, hoping others have a better one 🙏.
